Many years of work in the field of viral hepatitis of M.Sc. Tatjana Reić, President of CATIH Hepatos, Croatian Alliance of Hepatitis Patient Associations and ELPA , has been recognized by the World Health Organization ( WHO ) , which invited her to join the newly formed group ''Civil Society Reference Group on Hepatitis'' with the Global hepatitis Programme of the World Health Organization.

The main idea of the group is to bring together representatives of civil society from different countries that have experiential knowledge in the field of viral hepatitis to provide advice to the part of WHO that deals with this issue. Members of the group, only a handful of them from around the world, were invited to act as ' ambassadors ' for the WHO and as liaison with the broader Civil Society networks. WHO hopes to inform and accelerate the development of the Global Hepatitis Strategies in this way.
